Team members of TRADR received the Best Paper Award for the registration paper with the title: “3D Registration of Aerial and Ground Robots for Disaster Response: An Evaluation of Features, Descriptors, and Transformation Estimation” at the International Symposium on Safety, Security and Rescue Robotics (SSRR) 2017. The paper issued from a collaboration with the Autonomous Systems Lab from the ETH Zurich and the Fraunhofer Institiute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS.
The paper titled “Reliable Real-Time Change Detection and Mapping for 3D LiDARs” from ETZ Zurich was also nominated for the Best Paper Award. Congratulations!!!
